Strike Zone Wrestling had another great day on the mats with 6 wrestlers qualified to move on to the Eastern Regional Tournament in Easton, PA.
Lukas - 1st place, Jeremy Woolfolk - 1st place, Calvin - 2nd place, Khyree - 3rd place, Jesse - 3rd place, Cameron - 4th place, and Joey M., Mateo, Nyarah, and Dominic had some battles but missed the medal round. Way to go Strike Zone Wrestlers!!!!

Lucas missed qualifying in a tough 16 man bracket after having a very successful season.

Awesome but long day at NAGA. Joey a/k/a Monster, in his first NAGA had to work for it with a 2-0 win in Gi and a 5-4 overtime win in No-Gi to take home two titles. Calvin came up short but man did he battle. Although he shouldn't be in the expert division, this kid has no fear and steps up to battle for a belt, lost to the Champ 3-0. Great day warriors. Coach is very proud.
Great night for Team Strike Zone. Holland Ahern got a huge win by TKO in the 1st round.

Analeigh, Dominic, and Joey W. all had great matches.
Great day at the South Side Scuffle. Five kids. Four medals. Lukas with 3 pins took Gold. Calvin with 3 pins took Gold. Joey and Cameron both had some real good battles and took home bronze. Joey Night Train in only his 2nd tournament wrestled tough but missed the medal round. Great day kids. Coaches and parents are real proud!
Strike Zone medal rush!!!! Three tournaments in one day made for a long but awesome day, with 3 Champs, 6 Seconds, 2 Thirds, and 5 Fourth place finishes.

Lucian, after a couple awesome wins dropped out due to an injury also took 4th. Jesse, Ayden, and Mason all wrestled their hearts out but missed the medal round.
Strike Zone is so proud of our wrestlers, who in two short years have come so far on the CT wrestling circuit. Keep up the good work. Off-season tournaments are starting soon!!!

Great day for a young Team Strike Zone squad. These kids really stepped up and worked hard for their medals. Elia got her 1st pin and 1st place. Jesse matched that with a 4-0 day. Alexander stepped up, scored a ton of points and got a Bronze with less than two months experience. Zach was a beast fighting to tie his bronze medal match up as time ran out, and came up with an overtime win. Josiah scored a Silver taking on the toughest competition possible. Luke got better and more aggressive in each match taking 3rd place after losing to the Gold medalist in a 1-0 battle. Chris battled against kids a whole head taller to earn a tough fought 4th place. Everyone in the building who saw Analeigh wrestle was impressed by this girl's heart and toughness. 3rd place only falling short in two exciting high scoring matches by 1 point each before winning her final match for a Bronze by tech-fall. So proud of these kids!!!
Great tournament today. We had a lot of really good matches. Some wins. Some losses. Everyone wrestled their hearts out.

Strike Zone Wrestling had four wrestlers in Southington today and came away with four medals. Lukas had a war in his 2nd match and took home the Gold medal. Lucas had two big wins, lost in the finals to a Beast and took home Silver. Joey wrestled his butt off, lost a heart breaker 2-1, never stopped and worked every second to take home a Bronze. Tommy TNT wrestled awesome taking home a Bronze. His 1st pin was sweeeet!!!
