Strike Zone's Annual Christmas Party
Long Shots Sports Café, Uncasville, CT
Fun night for all at our Annual Christmas Party. Randy Francis and Jeremy Woolfolk both received Strike Zone's Fighter of the Year Award. Randy went 2-1 and won two Championship MMA belts in 2018. Jeremy went 3-0 and won one Championship MMA title in 2018. Greg Perry received an award for Wrestling coach of the year and Kirkor Papasian received an award for grappling coach of the year. Calvin received an award, that he should have received in 2016, for being Strike Zone Wrestling's 1st State Champion. Thank you to all the parents, family, and friends that came out to celebrate the evening with us!!!

Bristol Gladiator Holiday Tournament
Bristol Eastern High School, Bristol, CT
Wrestling at the Bristol Gladiator tournament today was awesome. Brought eleven kids and came home with crazy Hardware! Calvin won two Golds, one in his age group and one in an upper age group. Way to go Beast Cal! Nicholas took Gold today and was unstoppable, pinning all three of his opponents. Cameron struck Gold too with an awesome win in overtime. Aiden won his 1st match today in an awesome back and forth battle and took home Silver. Jesse, Lucas, Zach, Joey all wrestled outstanding and all took home Silver as well in some great finals matches. James scrapped with some great kids today and pulled out a Bronze. And Drake, although he missed the medal round, had his best showing ever, winning 2 out of 3 matches before making a minor mistake. But make no mistake, the Snake is for real. And don't want to forget our brother Chael who also took home Gold. Thanks to all the parents and coaches for traveling today and all the support you show these kids week after week. Great day!!!

While most wrestlers are taking time off or playing other sports these two wrestlers always seem to find a tournament to wrestle at year round. The dedication to continue training, practicing and competing, day after day, week after week, and year after year, is what makes them Champions. Chael took 2nd place and Zach took 4th place this weekend. Keep scrapping boys, the titles will come. TSZ is proud of your efforts. We don't want to leave out Jax, who shows up every week to support big brother, Chael, and always looking for opponents his age. Next year is your season Jax!!!

These three never stop - Have Mat - Will Travel. The wrecking crew went to Natick MA. With some tough competition, Bradey and Gavin took home Silver and Chael losing a heart breaker for 3rd. The battles these kids have had weekly have made them Champions to us at Strike Zone!

Southington Beginners Tournament
Southington High School, Southington, CT
Two of our little guys, Drake "The Snake" and "A-Train" Aiden were up in Southington today and wrestled their butts off. Drake took home Gold with two pins and Aiden took home Silver. Great job today boys! Continue working hard and more medals will follow. Also want to thank Coach Greg for leading our boys to the medal round.

South Side Scuffle

Rumble in Trumbull today. Took a few kids and had a great day. Calvin went 6-0 taking Gold in his age group and moved up with the older kids and took home another Gold! Great job kid!!! Cam had a great match in the finals with a tough kid from NH and took home Silver! Jesse brought home a Bronze and probably wrestled the toughest kid he's going to see all year. The kid was a beast but Jesse kept scrapping the whole match. Building Champions match by match. And our buddy Chael, you can take a pic with us anytime. You make us look better with that Gold medal you worked so hard to get today. Great job by all.
